The candidate should have an excellent track record in microbial symbiosis employing state-of-the-art molecular and microscopic techniques, in order to complement the current research topics and teaching tasks of the department.The university assistant will actively contribute to the teaching of the department, will perform independent research and will contribute to the self-administration of the university. Depending on the performance in research and education, the possibility for a habilitation to obtain a “venia legendi” will be provided.. This position is open for postdoctoral level at the Department of Ecogenomics and Systems Biology, University of Vienna.

Who can apply to this scholarship? Applicants must hold a university degree in microbiology, genetics or related fields or have an equivalent education. At least three years of professional experience (including a PhD degree) are required. Applicants should be scientifically competent, be able to work independently and should have interest to join a young and active team.
