The value of the scholarship is £12,300 which will cover living costs. The award is tenable for one year only; candidates who are following two or three year graduate degrees may hold the award for the first year of their course but will be required to have other funding for the remainder of their study period.The Jenkins Memorial Fund was established in honour of the late Lord Jenkins of Hillhead, former Chancellor of the University. The scholarships will be available for students from other Universities within the Europaeum, an association of leading European universities, who will be embarking on a course of study in the Humanities or Social Sciences in October 2012.

Applicants should be studying in Humanities or Social Sciences. Priority will be given to students following a one-year Master’s degree but candidates entering a two-year Master’s degree may also be considered

Deadline: 6 January 2012 for Philosophy students; 20 January 2012 for all other subjects.
